No window? No problem.
A window can be painted just about anywhere. Window scene wall murals magically expand a space and give the illusion of the out doors. Window frames can be painted to coordinate with the room’s real trim, windows open to the view contained in the artwork.
What a view! Any scene can be yours, from a beautiful meadow and stream…
…to a lovely view of the garden.
This poor tiny bathroom had no window, a room addition had eliminated it. The owners had me paint one in. It’s a view of their back garden, in full bloom, with their bird houses and bird feeders included. Not comfortable with a window open to the outdoors, they even had me paint curtains on it!
Window scene wall murals can also be painted on canvas. This one was painted for a psychologist’s small windowless office. It offers him and his patients a lovely calming tropical beach view. Since it has been painted on an artist’s canvas, if he moves to a different office, his view can go with him.
Here’s another window on canvas. This one offers a mountain scene, waterfall and stream plus a few deer in a meadow.
Above are two window wall murals painted on loose canvas. They were cut out of the whole canvas and pasted onto two pocket doors in a narrow hallway.
Need some ideas? I’ve got some:
- A street in a small town, little shops.
- That special memory from a wonderful vacation- Paris or Rome
- Exotic locations like the jungle or a tropical beach
- Somewhere you’d much rather be
- Somewhere you used to live
I’m asked to paint these window murals frequently enough, check the archives for more or search for window murals here in the site.
