Golf Course Wall Mural
Last month I had the opportunity to paint this smaller golf course wall mural for a new client on a subject I know practically nothing about, but the client was an expert. She is a Golf Travel Agent (How cool a job is that?) and gave me lots of help in designing this piece and having the grass all the right length, and all the other features look just right. Although it really doesn’t show in this photo- there is a lot of detail, right down to their own personal ball markings, the number on the flag and the deer in the woods. This is one work I was quite proud of.
I really enjoyed working with this couple in planning the mural. Avid golfers, their condo is even on a golf course. The mural is in their lower level family room and all of the decor in the space is golf related- even in the powder room!
Facing the mural is their indoor practice putting green, moved aside so I had space to set up and work. Since this mural is in a basement, there is little natural light- the mural brings in a sense of the out of doors, really opening up the room nicely.
Thanks Lorraine! Yes it is in a private home. The couple are avid golfers, and this wall is right in front of their indoor practice green. The whole room is decorated with golf motifs and decor, so it really works well there!
Where is this mural Ellen? Is it in a private home – I was just thinking that it is so lifelike that someone might put a golf ball – or attempt to – on the green. It is a great mural – sure something different but you have handled it well, nevertheless.
Love the blog!
Sure! I can paint anything you want! How about a Putt-Putt course? That might be more your speed. Just kidding- I’m sure you can hit the ball pretty far.
