If you think back to a small project I did back in January that I blogged about in Family Diner, I ended the post by saying the opposite side of the kitchen definitely needed something to balance out the look. Last week I had the opportunity to go back and take care of that, and WOW, did it turn out great! Look at these painted stripes:
All it needed was some painted stripes using a deep dark brown (almost black) and other colors from the signage across the room to balance the look, bring up the dark tones of the granite, and just make the space warm and awesome. What a great detail that took just a few hours of time, a lot of tape and a bit of paint.
Do you see the cabinet I painted previously on the far left in the dining area? I finally got a great shot of the whole arrangement of cabinet, shelf and accessories. How fun is this:
