There’s just something about red poppies art that people like. Maybe it’s the bright, cheerful color, or maybe it’s their simple shape and soft delicate petals.
Below are a couple of smaller paintings inspired by a larger commissioned work I did previously. The original also has red poppies, you can see it HERE. All were inspired by a photograph I took in a friend’s garden years ago. She had tossed down a packet of wildflower seeds to produce a wildflower meadow, including these bright poppies. When she died shortly after and the home was sold, I came to treasure the photo, and even used it for some digital art and backgrounds on my sites. It was that digital art that was the inspiration for the original painting and subsequently three more. One small one was commissioned in this size, I decided to paint a couple of other views of the garden too, using the same photo work.
Sized at 11 x 14, each has a finished edge, ready to hang on your wall.
