Flamboyan Tree Mural
I never knew this species of tree existed before I met this lovely expectant couple. It’s a ‘Flamboyan’ tree, native to Puerto Rico. In doing my research for the project, it is absolutely gorgeous! Just covered with the most beautiful orange and red flowers, each one every bit as lovely as an orchid. It was their request to include one in this Flamboyan Tree Mural for their baby boy’s nursery, along with a painted portrait of them on their motorcycle riding down the road.

I do love to paint murals for children’s rooms and nurseries. Figuring pricing is always difficult- it’s a function of the time required to paint what the client visualizes that they want. I usually let them tell me what they’d like, all of their dreams and the look they want for the room and figure out pricing accordingly. Occasionally, their budget is not able to cover the amount of work they’d like. That’s when I go at the project from the budget direction and figure out how to give them a beautiful mural that falls within their budget by limiting the time I spend on the work and the size.
