Another pretty little table for sale
As a backyard birder, I enjoy attracting songbirds to my garden to observe. I used to see White Throated Sparrows regularly at my feeders in my old garden, so when inspiration struck to use some hand painted bird artwork to create this table, that’s the bird I wanted to paint. The words to a favorite old hymn came to me one night, just singing to be included.
Pretty rusty brown feathers, the pure white throat, white head stripe and bright yellow accents make this a distinctive little bird.
They nest on the ground apparently, and lay little bluish green eggs with rusty brown spots on them, so I included those too.
The base is distressed in a cream color over the original dark finish, glazed with a taupe to bring out the details of the legs. Love the chippiness of this finish.
The whole table has been protected with polyurethane for durability. This table would make a lovely accent in just about any room, or to greet visitors at your front door. It’s just the right height to sit next to your favorite chair to hold your morning cup of coffee, or decorate your hallway under those family photos on the wall.
This hand painted bird artwork beauty is just 24 inches by 12 inches and 23 inches tall. Priced at $250.00, it’s your chance to have a very unique creation. Contact me below to purchase, or directly via the contact page above.
Listen to Lauren Hill and Tanya Blount sing this beautiful hymn:
His Eye Is on the Sparrow
- Why should I feel discouraged, why should the shadows come,
Why should my heart be lonely, and long for heav’n and home,
When Jesus is my portion? My constant Friend is He:
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me. - Refrain:
I sing because I’m happy, I sing because I’m free,
For His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me. - “Let not your heart be troubled,” His tender word I hear,
And resting on His goodness, I lose my doubts and fears;
Though by the path He leadeth, but one step I may see;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me. - Whenever I am tempted, whenever clouds arise,
When songs give place to sighing, when hope within me dies,
I draw the closer to Him, from care He sets me free;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
I hope you find as much meaning as I do in the words, as always your comments below are welcome, and encouraged!
